Driving our jeep with the 3.6L for about 5k miles I am pretty impressed. It's the first v6 (that I've driven) that actually seems like it has enough power to be in a full size truck. Not a tow monster but for light duty use I wouldn't mind it at all. The jeep hauls too, and the videos I've seen of it in the ram it seems to move out just fine. Not everyone wants or needs a drag truck or the ability to tow 7500 lb.
I want to get a drop in dry flow air filter for the jeep, what are you guys using in the ram? We were thinking about a muffler too but not sure it really goes along with the jeep...
If you were closer I'd say we should meet up and I'd take the problem off your hands. The exhaust, not the wife. why $600 to fix? Have you thought about trying to get a muffler from one of the hemi trucks, might get rid of the drone and keep the wife happy. And would be a hell of a lot cheaper.
I'm not messing with the engine at all; I like it just fine as it is (except for the fluids specified). Might fool with some aero mods, getting rid of the whip antenna, back up camera, that sort of thing.
