Default Reverse Camera Help

I recently purchased a 2010 ram 1500 big horn and it has the touchscreen/uconnect that the laramie usually comes with but has no navigation or backup cameral. Is there a backup camera that connects to that particualr screen so i dont have to install an aftermarket screen or a a rear view mirror one.

Thanks

I just added the OEM Backup camera to my truck. You can install the camera and run the wirring, but you have to take it to the dealership for wire splicing in engine compartment and computer flash to activate. It cost me another $80 for that. Im not too impressed with the quality of the OEM unit. It does the purpose it intended, but i thought the video quality would have been better. The camera kit was $252, but you can get an aftermarket camera to install with dealer flash or pick up a lock pick so you dont have to flash the computer. Either way it costs you one way or the other. Hope this helps. Also do a search on the forum, there a lot of threads on this subject.

im considering buying good aftermarket kit with 2 cameras, using magnetic mounts & trailer plug to power up. that way I can just use when needed, like hooking up a trailer..

Mygig harnes, no wire slicing but the dealership will have to flash you system to activate the camera function

MyGIG FIM V.5 Lockpick, no splicing and you don't need the dealer to flash it! Also lets you turn the camera on while your driving. With the lockpic you can use any backup camera that uses rca plugs.
