Default transmission temp and towing questions...

I towed about 1500lbs this weekend about 4 hrs round trip, pretty flat land here so I tried it without tow haul first

Without tow/haul my transc temp peeked up at around 190 deg here and there

With tow haul it stayed steady in the 160s most of the time and it rarely needed to come out of 7th gear even for some fairly steep grades (which surprised me) tow haul it is for me

Question is, what temps do I need to start getting concerned about the atf temperature? My truck has the class 5 hitch, trailer brake controller, as well as a 3.21lsd rear

We may be using my truck to haul about 6000 lbs on a 4 hour treck in a few months

When it starts getting north of 250* it's time to worry. Your temperatures are great.

I've been through all of the settings. I have the gauge on the left hand side of the screen with the transmission temp. I'm wanting to know if I can get an actual number readout without a tuner screen?
Just curious

I couldn't tell you. I have an Express so no gauges. I have to scroll through EVIC to get the number.

What engine do you have hemi or v6?

Like posted above anything under 200 F is great. 200-250 F I'd watch it carefully. Above 250 F start worrying. Spikes upward of 250 F are OK but you don't want to run it at those temps for long periods.
