Default Ambient temperature sensor location help

Gentlemen (and ladies) I am restoring my 2001 2500 and Im almost done. One thing is really got me stumped. When I took off the hood to paint it, I for the life of me cannot figure out the wire routing and mounting location of the temp sensor. I think Im real close, but everywhere I think it might go, it doesnt have the clearance for it. The wire is currently routed along the hood via holes and the sensor is near the center of the grill frame. I was thinking it was mounted on the grill frame, but it wants to hit the upper radiator support. Can anyone help out. maybe post a pic for me. Thanks fellas

I believe it is mounted to the grill support in the center near the hood latch (on the hood.)

It actually looks like it is mounted to the underside of the hood-latch receiver, under the radiator core-support.
