Default Help with exhaust

Just bought a 2012 6.7 with only 14k miles and 2 years of factory warranty. While I would like to put a programmer in, i don't want to void my warranty. I have my sights set on an exhaust for now. My question is, what are the consequences of installing an exhaust without a programmer? I'll be installing the new exhaust by myself. Will I run into any codes or problems?

Thanks in advance,
First timer

The consequences of changing out the exhaust, cat back I'm guessing, with out a tuner are minimal. I've never heard of it throwing a code. You'll suffer a little on the low end, but when you punch it... let's just say it'll be a life changing experience.

will that affect the "burning" thing the exhaust does with diesels?

The only part of the exhaust you can touch without putting a tuner on is from the DPF filter back. It won't do anything for sound or performance so it isn't worth your money. Unfortunately if you don't want to run a tuner you're very limited to what you can do performance wise on a 6.7. If you want to make it look a little nicer I'd put a tip on the stock exhaust for now and call it a day.

Just delete it, makes it a whole different truck!

Ya what brandon said, it wouldn't do anything for you and just be pointless.
