Default Steering wheel controls

Has anyone added them to the Ram? I can see on the back of the steering wheel the small covers that are in place of the controls. If so, is it a simple plug and play?

I've been looking into this for about a year (for a 2013). So far the answer I've gotten is "no" - nothing plug and play. You can't just buy a steering wheel stereo control module and remove the cut out on the back of the steering wheel and wire it in. Seems like it should be possible but don't think so. One guy on another thread (another forum) replaced his whole steering wheel to get steering wheel controls! There are also some after market solutions (from Axxess) which don't seem too popular because they really look "after market". There's no simple fix or OEM part that I'm aware of after a fair bit of time investigating options. If you find anything, please post it. It would be great if there was a way.
