Anyone dip their exhaust tips? Just curious how it holds up when extreme heat is a factor.

Heat makes it a little harder to peal off but it's still doable. A lot of people do engine bay stuff without an issue.

People need to look at the more unique dip stuff. The Blaze colors are awesome. I used red an blue with great success. The blue really pops. Glossifier is a great thing too. It makes the dip get a sheen that takes away the dull flat look. I hope to try some metalizer soon.

Clark - I used regular plastidip on my tips and they're just fine
The truck doesn't get driven much, but I recently made a 9 hour roundtrip and they were just fine
How did you go about doing your tips? I would like to do mine, just not sure how to approach it. Any advice?

some great pics guys! Been kicking around what to do on my ram to get away from so much chrome and not spend a ton of money. seems like a great alternative.

I did my tips when I put my exhaust on and didn't run in to any problems. Came out just like everything else. May be different when I decide to peel off but that won't be anytime soon.

I did the door handles and the RAM 1500 logo 2 years ago and it is just now starting to wear off.

I did my tips a few days back, I don't know how it's gonna hold up yet though.

Did you do anything special to the door handles? I did mine, but it's starting to let go from just behind the handles. I've been given a tip to use paint thinner to restick the edges... And other places I've seen mention putting black electrical tape on the back of the door handle, but I wouldn't think that would stand up to weather very well.
