Looks good. I would probably cut off a little at a time until I think I'm loosing reception. I might give it a try if my 5" tips don't come in.

Thanks for the info on this. I didn't know the ball came off and could be re-attached after the cut was made. I'm glad to hear that 8 to 10 inches gets the reception back. I bought a stubby and lost just about every station. I fixed one station by setting it up in iHeart Radio on my iPhone and using the Bluetooth Media option in the radio.

Ya, the stubby antennas look really cool..but I actually like listening to stations on the radio still so this was the next best solution!

Thanks! I bought them off Ebay and put them on myself. I love them, they really help set the truck off.
