Default What tune to run in my 04 ????

Currently putting a Reman 5.7 in my 2004 2500 4x4 5spd it will be equipped with a trinity and a Comp Tri power extreme XFI 268h_13 Camshaft
Been doing a lot of reading on here and still am not sure what the best tune setting to start out on is. I figured that I would look in to some hemifever tunes once I get a few miles on this new engine and get recovered from the dollars spent this time around Normally run 89 corn fuel as regular isn't available here and 92 is about 75Cents higher Didn't know with the cam upgrade if I needed something special or not?

with the 268 you are going to need a tune... you may experience stalling as the pcm will probably dump fuel at idle...do you have an rc or qc?

You should talk to (hemifever). As far as what fuel you should tune for, it's up to you, I run a custom hemifever dyno tune for 93 octane because I want it all. Seriously, if you get tuned for 91 or 89 you won't lose a lot of power, maybe 10 rwhp. I think you'll love that cam. May want to raise shift points, I shift my truck at 6200 with my cam, makes a big difference. Seeing the price difference get it tuned for 89.

leaving a lot on the table with the 268 by not going with custom tune. Heavy boat is going to need all the help it can get so make good use of the trinity.
