I bought my truck to help me earn a living as a contractor. I used the hell out of it, but NEVER abused it, and took good care of it. It served it's duty without one complaint for 9 hard years before I packed it up and took a job with a millwork company. It hauled a heavy trailer most of it's life, and more drywall and building materials than I can even remember. It's in "semi retirement" now, and still looks great.

I too am a DIYer. Anything and everything in my bed, including towing motorcycles and scooters for customers.

Bought it because I needed a vehicle (post Katrina) and at the time a truck fit better. It was my daily driver for 8 years before I got the Charger. Tow with it, haul crap in the back and haul ass when it's empty lol.

I tow heavy every now and then...most of my first 3000 miles were with a 10k trailer behind me. Mostly when I haul/tow anything, it is not really all that heavy; however, having a truck makes it a heck of a lot more convenient to do.
Appliances, furniture, and yard stuff don't really pose a challenge for my girl. However, I would not be able to transport them in my car.
You are just existing until you have a truck; then you really start living.

Our Rams are Daily Driver's but also used for hauling anywhere from 1100-2000 lbs of hay, towing a horse trailer (though Silver hasn't gotten the chance at the trailer yet), hauling lumber, firewood, sand, concrete, granite, groceries, camping gear, dirt, wood chips, furniture.... and whatever else we need them to do, including some horseplay and burning rubber.
