Default headlight aim

Anyone know how to adjust the headlamp aim? I put HID's in but now the lights are pointing way off.

Not sure if this is the same for your 2012 but there's a hole for it

I don't know how you raise or lower the height of the beam, except by using shims

I could be mistaken, but I believe the adjustment in the hole is for left & right aiming

this is what you are adjusting, the light is for the drivers side

damn, can't get the other image of the whole light assembly to post

If the adjustments are really for left to right, just be VERY VERY careful NOT to cross the beams....

...Yes, I had to. Sorry.

There is no left right adjustment, the adjustment shown above is for up/down.

That is good news
it would be easy to shim for left & right aiming

i found this, it is the same year as mine, but a different style
the Adjuster is really clear

Easy way to do this...........just about dusk or pre dawn pull up to a garage door with horizontal panels, turn on your lights and adjust the lamps up or down to suit you. Old fashioned back yard adjustment but it still works. They are adjusted to high from factory (reason a lot of folks say they aren't bright enough) tree tops at 1/2 mile is to high from factory. Yeah, I nosed up to a wall at night (local store) that didn't have a sidewalk. Marked off the cut off with tape then rolled back 25' and adjusted the cut off 2" below the tape mark. Took 10 minutes, easy as pie.

Mine are the non-quad headlights and they were adjusted too low from the factory. Adjusting them up a few inches was a noticeable improvement. Of course, now with the low beams pointing further down the road, the high beams light up the tree tops.
