The Gen3 Vararam was true ram air through the bumper insert but quality and fitment were poor, you need a high pressure area for true ram air. Even the SRT10 Ram hood scoop is not for ram air its for heat to come out. Check out the new Hellcat Challenger and see what SRT did for ram air for the SC6.2 Hemi.

I use Dual 4" feeder tubes to feed my supercharger
after removing the lower bumper cowl insert

Any problem with rain water with your setup or the Vararam?

I have never owned a Vararam,
and it's not possible for any outside water source to enter my system,
and even if it did I would have no concern.

I actually spray water/meth directly into my intake intentionally when boost hits 4-8 psi.
250 psi pump to a dual jet setup into my charge tube...

The benefits from a simple water injection are so remarkable it’s hard now to imagine running a supercharged or turbocharged system without one. Regardless, if it’s equipped with an intercooler already. Below is a summery of these benefits.
  • Reduces air charge temperatures by 50-150+ degrees
  • Reduces cylinder temperatures by up to 300+ degrees
  • Increases your 87-93 octane pump gas by 8-20+ points
  • Allows you to safely run more boost and timing
  • Longer more stable combustion expansion and progression
  • Removes carbon build-up from combustion chambers, pistons and valves
  • Reduces and helps eliminate engine damaging detonation and pre-ignition
  • No need for expensive racing fuel or additives

(and no, its not much use to non-boost applications )

That is an awesome setup. I see you have the stock manifold; nice to know it can withstand 500+ HP.

The varram works great i drive through pouring rain all the time and the intake has never been wet and as far as the air bubble ive noticed better throttle response with it the hood acts as a seal for the intake it works quite well
