Default Huge head rests suck

I have already checked with a shop, reducing the size of the headrests will cost $45 each. Looking in the rear view mirror, the back seat headrests are so big that they affect rear view vision quite a bit. Since there is seldom anyone riding in the back seat anyway, I have removed them for now.

Anybody else find this irritating? and/or have a fix? Perhaps older trucks have smaller ones?

I removed my back head rests also. It's much easier to see out the back now.

There should either be a manual or power fold down option for them. I believe the headrests on the Durango 3rd row seat can be folded from the drivers seat
In the survey Chrysler sent regarding my new Big Horn, I mentioned this problem.

Tried to remove my rear headrests after about two weeks too. I got one out easy, but one of them is stuck. Can't get it out for the life of me (should try a lubricant on it). They are huge and definitely limit rear vision.

It should be just a matter of pulling up and releasing the 'push in to release' retainers, sometimes they are sticky and it requires more than two hands to push in and pull up

WTB REAR HEADRESTS ALSO IN BIEGE

I am looking for an extra seat of rear head rests in the light Frost/biege

anyone want to sell the ones they have removed

I found some out of the second row of an older Jeep 4 door SUV, square thing, likely out of the 90's, also the back seat of a 2001 Neon (owners manual was on the floor of this one) and it had up and down adjustable h/rests but you have to cut the seat cushion and then you need a big Torx to take off some U clamps holding the posts in place, I had no screw driver so went with the Jeep ones and installed them backwards towards the rear windown.
