Default Rust on Emblems

My 2013 Ram Sport has small rust spots on the chrome plated emblems and grill. My dealer said they were caused by the mag chloride used on the roads in Colorado and not covered under warranty. This seems fishy to me. Anyone else have this problem? If so, what was the outcome?

Thanks!

Wow. That sucks. I didn't even know they were made of metal. I thought they were plastic. You may want to contact Chrysler or Ram if your dealer is going to be a d bag about it.

If they sell the trucks in Colorado, they have to warranty them for Colorado. It's not like when you bought it, they told you to move to California, right? LOL

I"m seeing what appears to be a tiny bit of rust developing on the chrome bumper of my 2013 and if it becomes necessary, I will be taking to the dealer. He better not tell me it's because it rains a lot around here!
