Default Boosted 5.7 Transmission Failures

I have read multiple threads/posts of the 545rfe failures under boosted conditions, probably 99% of them were not good. Has anyone beat the roasted trans gremlin yet? Please share your experience good or bad and what worked for how long as well as what didn't, any reccomendations, parts, builders/companys. Also how you drove it before failure (beaten constantly, drag racing, towing) and most importantly.....would you still boost your truck now that you know what grief it has caused!

This guy builds a trans that can hold up. You can message him on here. Forget about doing anything with the stock trans. It is maxed out with the stock motor. I just blew my trans with a few bolt-ons and my truck is less than 1 year old. The factory has torque management built into the tune to save the weak ass trans. This is why they are going to a stronger trans for 2014. Either build the trans or leave the truck alone.

I just called AutoAnything and cancelled my order. Luckily Edlebrock hasn't shipped it yet and AA is contacting them now to stop the transaction. I beat on my truck daily but I love it too much to sentence it to an early death. Until I have tried and proven proof of a transmission that will hold up, I'm not going to chance it. My truck is a beautiful thing and I get lots of compliments on it while driving it, but to have it sitting pretty in my driveway broken is not how I want to show it off! The devil on my on left shoulder said "#%(* it, just do it" but the angel on my right shoulder said "don't do it, your gonna mess up your truck"!
I'm really dissapointed not because of the cancelled order but in Dodge for putting such a whimpy transmission behind a heck of a great engine in the best looking truck on the road today.
I don't know what the difference between the 65rfe and the 545rfe is.

The devil on my left shoulder is like yea do it do it, but the angel on my right is like I don't want you to screw up your truck, but I still kinda want you to get it LOL.

I think the only difference is the 545 has 5 gears with 2 second gears, 2nd and 2nd prime gear (6 speed). The 65 is just straight 6 speed (1-6) tranny.

The 65rfe is a reprogrammed 545rfe which is a reprogrammed 45rfe.

The 45RFE later became the 5-speed 545RFE.

Gear Ratios:
1st 3.00:1
2nd 1.67:1
2nd Prime 1.50:1
3rd 1.00:1
4th 0.75:1
Reverse 3.00:1
545RFE only:
5th 0.67:1

65RFE

1st 3.00:1
2nd 1.67:1
3rd 1.50:1
4th 1.00:1
5th 0.75:1
6th 0.67:1
Reverse 3.00:1

The 3rd gear is just like the 2 prime gear as it isn't used in normal driving, it will shift from 2nd to 4th. Running tow haul or ERS will allow the shift into 3rd as well as downshifting will kick it in, but you can see it's physically the same shift schedule/gear ratios between the 545 and the 65.
