Also, would you want to trade charge pipes? That way I don't have to drill into mine to install my methanol injection and you can sell the ripp with or without the meth kit. Just an idea let me know if you're interested

Now that I've cooled my jets, I may consider rebuilding.

But for now I'm back to stock until I have a backup daily driver.
already went out and found a decent low priced, low mileage PT for my G/F on Tuesday.
Fully Loaded Limited with sunroof and leather, new windshield, new Summer and Winter Tires.
...so she can keep working now.



I took Friday off and the truck back to NA,
removed my blower/brackets/belt and part of the intercooler and meth system before my first morning coffee.
Left everything else intact, just disconnected, re-installed factory injectors and MAP sensor.
Had it wrapped up by noon.





Today I pulled the trans, Brad came over with my Stocker that we rebuilt a month ago.

That one we stood on the tail when we dropped the pump in place,
so it lined up okay, test drive shows no sign of trouble, and all the upshifts were flawless.
had a couple firm low speed coasting to a stop down shifts, so it stills needs to relearn a little, not much though.
(used my 3 y/o Edge 3000 stall TC)





I'll take the L&M trans apart just to make sure the frictions look okay,
and that there is no more metal from the bad bearing floating around. Likely need the ATS TC opened cleaned.
Then once I get another daily driver the trans may just might go back in along with the blower at the end of the summer for Fall race season.

We are getting pretty good at swapping these things in and out.
I would have been down a sh!tload of ca$h if I was paying someone for the work.

Sad news, it's Dead Again!

My first highway road trip at noon today had my trans temps over 195 within 10 minutes
Stock Trans, barely any throttle, 1600 rpm with the cruise set at just 60mph.

I suspect its a bad bearing somewhere.
Clearly I am not qualified to rebuild these POS transmissions

I don't even know what to do next.
seems I cant even go back to stock to get away from my problems now.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck, it sucks. I've had a few money pits and I've decided that I am not going to make my Ram another one. Minor appearance mods and that's it.

I hope your luck turns around.

There's still hope!

Mike (MGH) said he would rebuild my L&M transmission if I can get it to him.
with any luck it just needs bearings and the clutches will be okay.

Strapping it to a pallet for shipping this weekend,
and I'll drop it at the local FedEx depot on Tuesday.

It will likely cost me $250 to ship it each way,
but $500 it will be worth it to get my beast one the road again
....then re-install the Blower!

Man that's brutal. My L&M trans is still sitting in sweet grass, working too much to find the time to get down there. That's the least of my worries right now though

Sorry for your trouble man, that bites.


I got a huge hassle from FedEx to ship my trans back to Mike yesterday,
They wanted a sh!t load of paper work, commercial invoices, international code etc.

So I called up a local trans builder (not far from the FedEx depot in Acheson) who does a lot of custom diesel trans builds,
they do almost the same build specs on 545RFE's as MGH for a real decent price. (about $2k)

I told him my issues and he said it sounded easy enough to fix.
Could be as low as $500...about what I would have paid for shipping.
We suspect it will just need new bearings and a few frictions at the most.

Tough break, **** it swap in a SRT-10 6-speed and call it done.

After all you've done to the truck there has to be someone who can build a transmission to stand behind it. I love the supercharger. Good luck with it. Keep us posted.
