Question Laramie vs Limited

I recently test drove the Eco diesel 6'4 CC Laramie 4x4. At another dealer I took a short test drive in the Limited version. With the exception of air suspension standard on the Limited what other features does the Limited offer over the Laramie ? I've researched the Ram site and asked my sales associate what additional content is offered to justify $10k. I didn't receive a thorough answer. Plan to order a 15 but undecided on trim.

I like the upgraded interior and features compared too my old 10 ST Ram.

That is when your sales person should have pulled out the sales brochure (you can down load it) and gone over the included features with you. The Limited includes the 32 gallon fuel tank, air suspension, spray in bed liner, premium leather, wood steering wheel (heated), rear window defroster, NAVigation, and convenience group (keyless entry/start, auto wipers).

For MY15 there could be differences.

There's a number of threads on the forum stating the differences between the 2. I'd suggest searching for them and reading through.
  • Limiteds have colour matched bumpers VS Chrome on Laramie
  • Limiteds do not have "Ram 1500" on the door
  • Limiteds have full real leather throughout the entire cab of the truck VS Laramies only having real leather on the front seat tops (parts touching the driver). The rest is pleather.
  • Limiteds have an upgraded cluster.
  • Limiteds have black marble accents in the doors and dash VS the wood grain in a Laramie.
  • Limiteds come with stainless door sills VS standard plastic in a Laramie.

I'm sure there are a few more things I'm missing but those are the main things I'm aware of. IMO the Limited interiors are the nicest interior you can get in a truck. I love mine.

It seems like the 'Ram 1500' delete has been stopped mid-model year, along with the sidesteps with the EcoDiesel. Every Limited I've seen has the 1500 back on the door on the lot and as txroamer has added a bunch delivered on here have the door badges as well.

Wow, you're jumping up from a ST to a Limited? Oh boy, you will have fun with the new truck.

I sure do like the wheels on the Limited over the Laramie. Can't wait to ditch these chrome clad uglies...

All of the things mentioned by BrandonJansen plus LED interior/exterior lighting and the list goes on. Some of the stuff is exclusive to the Longhorn/Limited trim and some of the other things are included in the Limited trim that you would otherwise have to pay extra for. The rear window defrost is a extra $150 even on the Limited trim. You have the option of chrome bumpers and side molding on the Limited at extra cost, for people that don't like painted the bumpers which is standard on the Limited. Also the list of extra cost options with the Limited include:
Power sunroof
CD player
Limited Group (which includes chrome side molding, body color fender flares)
Larger alternator
Rear window defroster (as previously mentioned)
different axle ratio
Cold weather group
Instrument panel mounted AUX switches
There are some things not on this list that only come on the 2500/3500 truck including dual wheels at an extra cost of $1200 and also a few things that only apply to the diesel engine

Not counting the Limited package, my Limited 3500 still had almost $15,000 in options which included the Cummins and the AISIN transmission. Bottom line is the Limited has a lot, but there is still a lot of extra cost things to put on there if you want them especially with the 2500/3500 series truck. If you decide there are some options you don't want and go with a lower level trim option and pick just the options you want, chances are you're going to pay just as much that way as you would have for the next trim level up and you would probably get a few things thrown in you wouldn't get thrown in otherwise. It can be tough to figure out because not all of the information is in one place for comparison.

Myself, I finely said the heck with trying to avoid forgetting or missing something an option and told the salesman I wanted everything except the smokers pkg. and the bed camera (had to have rain sensing wipers and auto dimming headlights which is not available with the cargo camera).
