On an older vehicle, sure. There are plenty of good products out there for plastic repair, however over time there is a chance of the filler shrinking or warping.

Find a reputable local shop and they can most likely match the flare better and at a lower cost than the dealership.
This.

I really appreciate the tips and feedback. I found a very reputable shop that is going to have a new one painted and installed by Friday. They took an hour to do an exact paint match for me. However, when all is said and done........... = $423.00 (New Flare, Painting and uninstall old and install new) You live and learn. Thanks again all.

I agree with Kamine - get it replaced at a reputable body shop. If you don't you will notice it all the time and kick yourself for not getting it done correctly the first time.

Good to hear!

Make sure you hear the owner/shop manager say it will be a factory match, and don't sign for the work until you are satisfied with it. Silver can sometimes be a HUGE pain get right. What might look perfect in the shop could very well look different out in the sunlight (or vice versa).
