Default Headlights

The driver's side headlight went out. So we went and got some new "Ultra" bulbs and installed them. Alas, the light was still out.

But then after playing with the wire a bit, it came on. But then it went out again a fews days later when coming off of high beam.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

start by making sure the wires are tight in the connector that the bulb plugs into.

Okay, so the connections are tight. But she got the low beam to come back on after flicking on the high beam a couple of times. Any other suggestions?

this intermittent fault indicates some wire is loose and not making contact. perhaps check at the other end of the wire and grounds.

Switch out the bulb again. You going from high to low and it comes on sounds like bad bulb .

the headlight connectors are know to have issues. to fix it remove the headlight, remove the red or white connector lock from the connector (if you look right at the front of the connector you can't miss it) to access the lock tabs. take a pick and gently pry down on a small plastic connector lock tab and pull the wire out of the connector. on the sides of the metal pin are little holes with a piece of metal in it. take your pick and push down and in on each side to force the pin to make a tighter connection. reinstall wires and lock tab, good to go.

sounds complicated but its not. look at the pin you'll see it's gaping. close it up.
