Default Smaller tire size = higher gear ratio right???

Please see pic, seems to contradict what I've been told.

its providing a "equivalent " gear ratio to keep close to to your original gear ratio when doing tire adjustments.

I got roughly the same numbers but this on online ratio calculator was converting the gear ratio the wrong way; unless I'm missing something.
Old tire 275/60R20
New tire 305/50R20
33 divided by 32= 1.03x4.10=4.22
When I punched in the tire sizes and axel ratio it gave me a 3.90 something. Not sure why.

I just want to know if im calculation the smaller tire size to axle ratio correctly. If you look at the pic I posted with my original thread is seems to do it backwards. Giving my 305/50R50 a 3.92, and im getting a 4.22 with the 4.10 gears. Original tire size was 275/60R20.
The calculations are very simple but this online calculator got me thinking I might be missing something.

the calculator is providing an "equivalent" needed to get back to your "current" gearing ratio when going to a higher or lower tire height.
