Hey there everyone, does anyone know if you can use the existing wiring harness from the factory sub as high level output for an aftermarket amp or should you go off the front speakers as they are not wired off the factory amp? Appreciate any tips. Thanks

No sub under My rear seats, could it be behind the seat on the 2013 2500s ?

I am using the existing sub wires for my high level input and they are working OK. I'm having trouble getting it dialed in just right. Sounds good at low to medium volume but seems to lose the clarity when I turn it up loud.

Not sure about the '14 but the '12 sub woofer is behind the passenger side rear seat under the flip up cover.

I own a 2010 Dodge Laramie quad cab with the factory Alpine stereo system - the sub. If I were to buy a factory sub used is the wiring already there?

Interesting... I am guessing that you bought your truck used since I have not seen a factory alpine system without the sub.

To locate the harness... Look under the passenger rear seat in the storage bin. Peel back the carpet on the front lip of the storage bin. The harness should be tucked in there somewhere.

As long as you have the harness then you should be able to just plug in the factory sub and go.

In my 2014 crew cab, without the sub, I found the sub wires under the carpet when I was connecting some LEDs. It's a 2 pair assembly with green and grey wires. There doesn't seem to be any power cable assembly though and I'm not sure if these are even connected to my stock head unit. More research is needed.

There is no power cable to the sub, there is no amp built into the sub. Connect a speaker to see if it`s connected to HU
