I've got the backflip VP and have nothing bad to say about it... Quaility piece.

I've had my BakFlip VP for a couple weeks and so far it's great. Wanted it off one day to haul some big stuff and it took less than 5 minutes to remove, maybe 10 to re-install. I've shown it off to several people and they all seem really impressed by it.

I had a Leer on my Tacoma. My mileage was actually just a little worse than before due to the weight. When I take delivery of my new Big Horn Ecodesiel next week (it was in MO this morning) I'm going to get a tri-fold soft cover. After buying the Leer I discovered that it was a giant PITA to take off. I also realized that if someone really wanted to get in they could do it pretty easily an probably damage the truck. I no longer see any advantage to having a hard lid. Only negatives.

I have the hard cover-fibergalss on mine. I like the look though the idea of putting something tall in the bed will require its removal. Also I have found that with the tail gate down I need to find a way to better secure the cover rather than rely on weight alone to keep it down. Lou.

I have a fiberglass cover. It's a love hate relationship. I want it off for hauling stuff but I love keeping things hidden and dry.

Can't remember if I replied. I have a SnugTop-SL fiberglass hard cover with electric locks.

On my 2001, I had a Leer fiberglass cover and a storm came through with 80 mph winds. When I came out of work, the cover was broken over the top of the cab. Cracked in half and dented the top of the cab like you wouldn't believe. Truck was in the body shop for 5 weeks getting a new cab top and all the hail damage fixed. top and drivers side of the truck looked like somebody had used a ball peen hammer on it. 10k worth of work. I only had the truck a month when this happened.

I've just used the rollup cover now and they are lighter and last a long time.

Default Hard cover

I have the ARE hard cover with bed rug mat and tailgate rug. Only reason is that it's for the wife. I like a usable bed myself
