Default Howling when going from a stop.

Hi everyone another question for the experts. My 2003 RAM 1500 2wd seems to make a howling or groaning noise when accelerating hard and under load or going up a hill, even a slight incline. I first thought it was brakes, but I had my mechanic check it all out that everything is in good condition. It definately scares me, the truck only has about 37,000 miles on it. I can't pinpoint where the noise is coming from.

Thank you for your input have a great day
