My current title is Superintendent Hides/Tannery Division. I work from 4pm. till 4am., 5 days/wk and rarely have to work any weekends. We process close to 7,000 beef hides per day (max. capacity is 11,000 per day) and 4,000 pig hides per day. 1/3 of the hides we process is treated with brine (cured) and the other 2/3's is for what we call "Wet blue hides". The finished Tanned hides come out blue from the drums due to the chromium penetrating the hide and is one of the many steps in turning the hide into leather. We sell our hides to Company's that perform the final step in the finished leather process.
I have worked in the Slaughter/Processing Beef Division for 31 years. 7 years in Slaughter, 19 years in Processing and the last 5 years in Hides/Tannery. I cannot post pictures of our Plant operations.

I work at a huge place that most people have never heard about, its called Digi-Key. Its a multi billion dollar corporation. It's basically a huge electronics warehouse distributor. 6th largest in the United states, 7th largest in the world. Located in a small town of about 9000 people lol. Love my job tho!

Worked 39 years in IT from programmer to Project Manager / Service Delivery Manager. Ended up running on-shore and off-shore teams for IBM Global Business Services. Finished with IBM in April 2012 and worked with my wife in her company doing Probate Inventories until she passed away from cancer March 2013. Closed the company down and now trade options full-time.

Nothing exciting like all the cool jobs I've read in this thread.

I'm a CAD Tech for a company that builds "Form Fill & Seal" packaging equipment. My main job is to detail prints and release them so all the parts, weldments and assemblies can be manufactured. Every so often I get to play design engineer and get to design some small stuff... Really starting to wish I would have gotten an engineering degree instead of an associates in mechanical drafting... could be making a whole lot more money.

I own a Property Management business that caters exclusively
to residential seasonal home owners ( Snow Birds ) I kinda fell
into this after spending thirty years in automotive dealerships
and wholesaling.
