Man, you guys make me feel OLD! I started out in Aviation Maintenance as a "Helicopter Repairman" on OH-13's (think M*A*S*H) then transitioned to and eventually received my Crew Chief wings on Huey's. Stuck around to '76 but other opportunities came along and now it's 40 years later and I'm an old guy looking back at glory days. Can't say enough good things about everyone and anyone who served before, with or after me. Thanks!

Does a 63T/19T do recovery work?

I went to Fort Jackson for basic. Edgewood Arsenal for 63W (Wheeled Vehicle Repairer) whic was funny, cause at my first duty station I worked on more tracks than wheels. That was Irwin. My assignments include: Corazal/Fort Clayton, Panama,Fort Gillem, Ga, Cape Canaveral AFS, FL, Fort Polk, La, and currently Fort Lee, Va.

I went to recovery school (H8) as a 63W at APG in 1991. My whole class was 63 series so i dont know if 63T could have gone. They have combined a lot of MOS now so I realy couldnt tell ya.

As an Army wife, my husband is currently in Afghanistan. He is a 151AE. I am a proud Mrs. 151AE! We are stationed at HAAF in Savannah, GA! I drive the rig and he drives the sports car, 08' Challenger SRT8 #3560.

I know in 83 we had all the 63 series guys that were tracked vehicles
in our recovery class. M88 and M578 was the only units we trained on, This was at FT Knox. I always wondered what the Heavy tank recovery would be if the 88 is a medium recovery vehicle.
