I had this issue on my 95. A tap on the starter would fix it. Usually in freezing and wet weather. The cause was corrosion on the contacts in the starter solenoid, on the starter. In there is a set of copper contacts that come together when the relay extends, and this provides the power for the starter to turn. You will get the "click" but not the crank. I dis-assembled it and sanded the contacts, they were filthy and pitted. And never had another issue.
