Word on the street is that Chrysler has released an OEM Parkview kit! Part Number: 82214240 My dealer quoted me $299 plus labor. Seems a little salty but it would be covered by my warranty! As soon as I save a few bucks, I'll be ordering the kit up!

For those of you wanting the OEM backup cam, here ya go!

Camera and handle - http://allmoparparts.com/1500-backup...om-p-5059.html

Custom harness - http://ramharness.com/shop/2013-2014...camera-harness

Instructions step by step - http://ramharness.com/Hosting/DIY_ad...ra_w_Video.pdf

I did this install a couple days ago and had the dealer wake the camera up and it works perfectly! VERY simple install. I heard the new OEM kit from mopar is a lot more complex than the harness (made by another forum member) which is simply plugging a couple wires into existing plugs. Total investment was 400 bucks. 350 for parts and 50 bucks to have the dealer wake the camera up. I would imagine this would be at least a 2 hour job from the dealer so you would be close to 500 bucks at least for them to do it.

Thanks for the post RocketFoot. I called my dealer and confirmed the part number you provided. They quoted me $299 as well. I ordered it. Labor to install/flash is $250 which is a lot of money. I will try to work the dealer to get 20% off. Although very capable to do this myself, really don't want the hassle. I plan to get this installed this week. Will advise how it works. I like the fact that you mentioned that it will be covered under your warranty. I didn't confirm this, but plan to play that card at time of purchase.

I ordered the backup camera wiring harness for my Ram 1500 through RamHarness and haven't heard a thing from them in two weeks. No answer to phone calls to the customer service number they gave, or response to any emails. I'm just trying to find out where my wiring harness is. Anyone else run into this problem with RamHarness?

AJMINC, I'm in the same boat. Ordered on the 24th of Sep and no contact since. I think I read on a different message board that the guy making the custom harness had passed away? I think I'm going to try to use the instructions he made and make my own harness and try it.

MOPAR has the Parkview tailgate handle camera kit
It works with 2013 - ???? Rams
It can be used with 3 of the 4 radios

RA2 5"
RA3 8.4"
RA4 8.4

I understand once you get the Parkview Camera Sales Code programed into the computer, the radio will have a blue screen reading check surroundings or something like that
Once you install the kit, everything works

If you already have the OEM electronic locking tailgate on some of the Rams, you only need 1 or 2 pieces from the kit. Plus the camera & tailgate handle

in case your dealership says that the RA2 5.0 radios will not work with the Parkview Camera
Read this

Uconnect 5.0 RA2

Features:
• 5″ touch screen
• AM/FM
• Media hub with Aux/USB ports plus remote
USB port (charging only)
• iPodฎ integration
• Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS)
• Steering wheel audio controls
• Bluetoothฎ connectivity
• Hands-free phone
• Streaming audio
• Voice commands
• Text message reader
• Personalization settings
• GPS receiver (requires GPS antenna)
Available features:
• SiriusXM Satellite Radio
• Single-disc remote CD player
• Rearview camera
• Dual charging ports
