Default front wheel rub

i have a 2001 ram 1500 2 wheel drive, tires rub on shock bolt connected to A arms when in a full turn only, rub mark is on inside tire about 1 & 1/2 inches away from rim,I went to dodge dealer, they said truck came from factory with 245/75/r16 tires which i have .O they touch on both sides, I have owned truck since 2003,I have tried to not turn to sharp but very hard to control this when camping with a 5th wheel. Any fix for this ,thanks,,,

maybe a wheel spacer
that is what several people have used to move the tire/wheel out just a bit

If you off road much, you need to find a good brand of spacer

Default tire rub

I did look at a 1/4 inch spacer but the rim would not fit over the centre hub,[the part of the hub that mates up with the rim] so i aborted that solution ,thinking this my weakin that area,I do not go off roading at all, has anyone mig welded a stopper on the a frame ?

Did they rub on the shock bolt head, or the shock bolt THREAD? Turn the bolt the other way. On the 4x4's, there are bolts on the steering knuckles that you can set as turning stops. Maybe there are the same on the 2wd knuckles?

Hi, thanks for your reply,Tire rubs on the head of shock bolt,There is no adjusting bolt on steering knuckle, this problem has been there a long time, when i had new tires put on in june /014 ,tire supplier said they may not stand behind warranty. This seems to be a known problem with 2000/2001 ram1500 pickups.I have aluminum rims ,would like to know if steel rim also has this problem ,Thanks again for any suggestions.
