Nice one. Just a comparison...I was reading on GM truck forum about a guy running 9.4 in the 1/8th with his 14 Silverado 6.2 (420 hp).

What gears do you have btw?

I was expecting to lose by about 4-5 truck lengths but to my surprise I held him off. Do the new R/T trucks only have 3.21:1 gears?

They also come with 3.92's, only perk I really see to that is the factory LSD. The gearing in the trans is low enough that 3.21's should be plenty!

no disrespect USAF Long, but I'm gonna have to agree with jmgak... no reason the r/t shouldn't have beaten your truck even though you have a muffler and y-pipe...

He was probably spinning. The track was not sticky at all. Spinnin' ain't winnin' as they say.

In a 2013 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 Laramie (basically the heaviest of the 1500's, the Longhorn may weigh 100 lbs more due to a few tacked on extras)
3.55 gears

Stock with 1700 miles on the odometer

14.7's @ 92 mph
60 foot times of 2.1 seconds
DA's of 100-200 feet

I now have a 14 Laramie exactly the same but since the 3.55 gears aren't available in 2014 with the Hemi, I have 3.92's.
Haven't been to the track yet as it's too hot, but
I VBox tested it a bit when it was newish and my times were pretty dead on to what I got with the 2013 and the 3.55 gears.
Many times having lower gears doesn't always help as it may require an additional shift in there which negates any acceleration gain you get from the lower gear.

But when temps cool in the next two months, I'll hit up the track and see how the
2014 with the 3.92's do compared to my 13 with the 3.55's

either way
14.7's at 92 in the loaded and heavy Laramie CC 4x4 is quite good.
Better than any of the tests I've seen in the mags.

For comparison purposes, my VBox recorded 14.8 at 92.9 mph, so within .05 and .9 mph each and every time.

It had my 0-60 in the 6.4-6.5 second range.
