My issue is that this truck is a little far from me. Over an hour and a half. I don't want to waste a trip for nothing. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if the price is right but I guess I won't know till I go there. I don't know if they guy was being straight with me or if he was feeding me a bunch of crap but he said the incentives where the dealer is located are 1000 higher than where I live. We are both in nj. I live in 07002 and the dealer is in 08002. That's about 90 miles from me. I thought that was odd since we are both in NJ.

I ordered my 2013 Longhorn in January 2013 for 3% below invoice and then the incentives at the time my Ram came in in April came off that price. My MSRP was $54795, invoice was $48710 and there were $3500 in incentives which brought my price down to $45210 before tax & license. The time I ordered mine was far from optimal. You should be able to do better this time of year than that. Maybe send him another e-mail explaining that you are traveling 90 miles and are willing to purchase it on the spot if the price were $43,000. Then ask him if it is worth yours and his time to drive over and make the deal. Who knows what kind of crap they may throw at you when you get there but if they at least come back and say no way would they be able to do that then at least you know not to waste your time driving down there. You might even get another e-mail in a couple more weeks asking you to come and see it at a lower price.

That's a good plan. Will probably do that.

As a point of reference, this spring I ordered a fully laded R/T with an MSRP of $39,345. After all rebates and discounts I ended up paying $30,000 plus TT&L.

Just for reference and this is my first post. After an exhausting search and working with multiple dealers at once, I was able to get a MSRP $51,080 Sport Crew Cab 4X4 with 6 miles on the clock for $41,880 + TTL. $9200 off MSRP for the Sport I wanted was the best I could get in the 3 states I searched. This was in early July. I will be happy to share any additional info I have. They did tell me the Long Horn had deeper discounts at the time.

Yep. I just got my R/T and it was a little over $10k off MSRP with rebates and discounts (including $500 military rebate).

End of the month I think you could do way better. I just bought my truck on the 30th of July. 2014 CC, 4x4 hemi, long horn 48k MSRP paid 36K for it. $12,000 off sticker.

The incentives could be different especially since it appears you are right across from NYC and the dealer is in Cherry Hill near Philly. A lot of dealers in between that could probably match those numbers.

Good Luck with it. I think if you want it just get it before it's gone. There's always a better deal somewhere, life's too short to wait.

My wife is 05 and still in the reserves. They wanted a copy of her LES and the truck is in my name and hers to get the $500 rebate.

You can google it, but it is limited to those currently active or in the reserves and those who have got out in the last 12 most with a DD214 that proves it.

HTH.
