Default Low oil pressure

I changed my oil this past June and drove 1500 miles so far. Today i noticed my oil pressure below the last white line closest to zero and when I'm driving the truck the pressure barely goes over the first white line. I checked the oil and its good and clean. No knocking noise of any kind. I just got it out of the shop for a blown tranny. Any suggestions?

Maybe just a bad sensor.
But needs to be checked. Maybe bad oil pump.

How long can a person live when their heart is not beating? That is the same way with oil pressure, no or low oil pressure is fatal to an engine in a short time. Don't drive it at all.

Change the oil pressure sending unit first.

What weight oil are you using. Worn bearings? Yes. Partially clogged oil pressure unit? Yes. Oil too thin to start, now used and losing its viscosity, especially when it gets good and hot? Also a possibility. Try two of those little blue bottles of STP. We called it motor honey. There's even a brand "Motor Honey". It fattens up the oil. See if it helps, or if you're looking to change oil, start with 20W50 if you're not already using it. If you can't tighten up the bearing tolerances, and you can't increase the oil pump output, you're left with thickening the oil.

Since you just got it out of the shop for major surgery, I would check the sensor and wiring first. Make sure there are no loose or dirty connections. Then put in a new sensor if necessary. Also check it with a mechanical gauge.

Motor Honey is fine. But I prefer to use Lucas' oil stabilizer. It adds start up protection.

Long term, yeah, but as an experiment to see if it'd help, use the cheap stuff the first time.
