Another option for those that cant find Bilsteins are the Pro-Comp lift shocks. I got these from auto anything for $175 shipped. They are basically the same except for only having 2 positions, stock and 2.75 lift. I have had them on for a week, and am very happy with them.

I was quoted $136 a piece for the Bilsteins, $288 to install and $90 to align. The shop said it was a 4 hour install. I called BS and gave my buddy who owns a body shop a call...he looked it up in the book. Replacing the shocks on a 2014 Ram calls for .6 hours of labor per side. So with a little leeway, 2 hours to install.

I think I'll be calling around and giving my money to someone else. $650 to do the level is just a bit much! Hell, if I had the right tools, I'd do it myself. May just try to borrow my buddies shop after hours and use his tools.

You have to remember that installing Bilsteins isn't as simple as just swapping out the struts. The struts need to be disassembled and then reassembled as well which takes about as much time as removing them from the truck. So 0.6 hours per side is definitely a little on the shy side but I agree that 2 hours overall sounds about right. Then there's the alignment on top of that.

Can somebody tell me where I can order exactly what I need to level my factory 09' 1500 laramie? I live in canada. Do I need the strut? Or just the 5100 adjustable shock?
