Once you get the vehicle started take it and have the battery load tested. It could very well have a bad cell. This happened to me this winter, I park one vehicle for winter and very seldom drive the other for weeks at a time. Car would not even click. Jump it and would run. Shut it off would restart. Let it sit for couple of days would not start if it was extremely cold. Ended up being bad cell, installed new battery no problems since.

I had a battery fail on my once. I was driving home at night and every time I hit the high beams my radar detector went off. When I got home, I shut it off and tried to start, nothing. The next morning I discovered that I had a full 12 volts, but no amperage, none. It was a good thing that my father was quality control manager at a battery manufacture. Went in on Sunday and got a new battery.

Could definitely be a bad cell in the battery, as mentioned before, but clean the terminals any way. I just had the same problem on my daughters isuzu and found that the terminals actually had a hard coating of tarnish on the cables that had to scraped off with my pocket knife. Once I did that it took off with a hitch, didn't even need a jump or charge.

Also do voltage drop test to starter. Is solenoid getting power when in crank mode? If not, you may have ignition switch problem.

When the key is in the "start" position I still have buzzer, lights, radio, etc. It's just when I turn the key to crank the engine I lose all power......

I've ordered a battery tester, thanks for all the input; you guys are great!
