Well, this isn't just a bump for fun, it is what I suspect to be a continuation of this story. Not too long ago, my truck began vibrating violently at anywhere over 3500 RPM (see post in 5.9L mod section). Well, yesterday (Saturday) morning, on my way to work, I notice now I have a violent rattle as well. It rattles in every gear, park and neutral included, and matches engine speed. Talking to a couple of my instructors and the always-helpful Remerson (thanks man!
) It is possibly the flywheel or torque converter. They may have come loose. So I went to the dealer for which this thread is titled, and spoke to them. I calmly discussed with the service writer that I believe it to be one of those problems, and reminded him that they replaced the transmission in June. So, he told me the following: If the problem was not caused by me, it is warranty work (as it should be!). If I caused the problem (how, I have no idea...
) then I pay their $85ish an hour flat rate time for diagnostics. They are not giving me a rental without paying for it this time, when I got it free last time. Even though I told them I need to go to school and work every day. I am wondering now if anyone has any opinions on what I should do if they decide it was my fault. Is it even possible for me to crack a flywheel or something similar from abuse? All I have hauled with it was 4 toolboxes, and one car (not at the same time). Yeah, I had fun in the snow, but this beast should hold together just fine. I am so close to giving up you don't even understand. I love my truck, but I can't keep paying for this crap, and going without it. What do you guys think? I am looking for some guidance on this one.
P.S.- If I did get another vehicle, it would still be some sort of Chrysler, preferably a Ram.
