Default Mopar CAI

First, is this a good price?

Second, what exactly does this do?
What are the benefits/disadvantages?
What does it improve and will it improve on my truck?

I already have a K&N drop in

Or, is not worth the money?
(please use terms I can understand)

That is not a good price. You can buy a CAI for much less. On that CAI you are basically paying for the mopar name on the intake tube. Any CAI you buy with a heat shield will be just as efficient as the mopar one. A CAI will increase power and MPG's, so basically it will make your truck more efficient and run at a cooler temp.

I have a 09 Crew Cab with the HEMI, been getting 700kms out of EVERY tank since new, truck has 18,000kms now. I just added the Mopar CAI in the last 2 wks and my milage has dropped to 575kms per tank! I know it's cause I can't keep my foot from going to the carpet just to hear the sound of the CAI with the Magnaflow :-P
Sounds great but is not saving me any fuel LOL
Seat of the pants feel, the truck DEFINATELY moves out QUICKER, especially in the 50-70MPH range!
Hope that helps a bit....

You would be better off looking up most of the ones that people use on this site...Like the BFI, Airaid, and K&N
