Default Flares on sport

Anyone put fender flares on a 09 1500 sport, or have pics of fender flares on one. Thanks

I'm thinking about doing the same to mine. I talked to my local accessories dealer about Bushwacker and EGR flares. He quoted me $475 and $395, respectively. Then I looked on dodgechryslerparts.com (I think it was) and found that I can get OEM Dodge flares already painted to match my truck for $300. I think they also listed unpainted flares, but I don't know what the price is.

Just FYI, in case you decide to get flares...

flares come in 3 different configurations, deep, medium, & flat
mine almost 1/2 thick, i think they are as flat as they come

I have the bush wacker fender flairs on mine. I will get some pictures on here tommorow. I have about the medium size they stick out about 1 1/2 inches. I painted them to match my truck and they look great.

GTyankee,

What brand of flares are those? Those are the first ones I've seen that come all the way to the bottom of the bumper on the front. I think that's the way to go on a Sport.

StuartV, there are the Bushwackers
i had to call them to explain just what i wanted & got the part number, the box came with every thing
there were actually 3 pieces for the front fender, the rear section ( the part that goes from the door to the headlight}, then a very short front piece[that you would use if you had a steel bumper], then the longer front piece like on my truck.

i ordered the flares through a performance center close by & had them install them, I helped, if you do it yourself, they are very stingy with the double sided tape that you use between the flares & the fender, & we used a bit longer screw then they send in the kit

GTyankee,

Looking at the Bushwacker site, I only see 3 models of flare for our trucks. The "OE Style", the "Extend-a-fender", and "Pocket Style".

Are yours the OE Style? Or do they have another part that is just not listed on their website?

Thanks for the info!

The real question now is, do I pay $475 for Bushwackers, or $300 for actual OEM that are already painted to match my truck. Hmmmm....... I'm kinda thinking that matte black would look good on my black truck. A nice contrast. But, it's hard to convince myself to pay that much extra for unpainted flares, when I could get OEM that are painted for so much less.

I really like the factory TRX Flares, this is my Brothers 2010 TRX. I am thinking that later this year I am going to add the TRX flares and two tone paint to my ST. Once I add the skid plates and TRX springs and shocks I am going to have TRX Clone.
