Well luckily it is only gonna cost me $120 to fix the rotor and studs. But the bad news is that the front fender is gonna need some work or be replaced, don't know what that will run me. Thanks for all the concern tho.

Last week I saw a big dump truck lose 3 out of 5 tries on his right side one of them came back into the lanes and had to drive around it, missed it by five feet. I was to busy keeping the box truck under control to look back and see if anyone hit it ( we were coming up and over a rise On I-95 North just outside of NYC )

It's a possibility someone may have tried to steal your wheel . Loosened it up first and was gonna come back later to get it knowing that the hard work is done . You haven't ticked anyone of recently . Have ya .

Some pretty freaky stuff. The front wheel and tire on my truck went about 1/4 mile down the highway.

As for some one loosening the lugs, I surely hope not because it would truly suck to have someone trying to sabotage my truck.

Holy s**t man! I'm glad you're all right! 60mph is around 100km/h so that could've been fatal for you and others on the road. I'd try to investigate it further, and be sure to check the other three wheels. I remember when I was riding and some old school hill billy in a Suburban lost a wheel on the on-ramp to one of our bridges here. I had to serve to avoid the bouncing-ass tire on the road. Worst thing was I was on my motorcycle, if I hit that thing I would've been dead! Drive safe brotha!

yeah...same thing happened to my dad. He had just had his Ram inspected in PA (they take the wheels off and all)...and he was on his way to his retirement party.

He had just gotten off I-83 in baltimore hauling a** to get there since he was running late. He was then on a back road taking it easy about 45 when the driver's side rear of the truck went down...and there the wheel went passing the truck, bounced over a rock wall and about 500 feet into a farmer's field.

It ate the lug holes out in the wheel, bend the rear axle, flattened the drum, and broke every lug off.

Needless to say, that night, the truck was towed and parked sideways right infront of the guy that inspected its' shop garage door. That guy had to buy my dad a new wheel, tire (it blew out on its journey away from the truck), an axle, backing plate, drum, and every other little stupid thing there. And, we never took anything back to him again.

But...yeah, glad you're alright. Somebody probably didn't tighten the lugs all the way and they finally just worked them selves off.
