Default Ram 1500 Grille question

I am trading my crome grille for a black grille. The black grille has a couple scratches. I heard you can use an epoxy to fill them and then re-paint it. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Is it easy? Here is a picture of the grille I am getting. I want to paint it flat black. Thanks ahead of time.

If it's just a scratch and not a gouge, then you can normally sand them out. If it is a gouge, then some body filler or a plastic safe epoxy resin should fill it up nicely. Then sand it smooth, prime and paint.

Yes........I agree with Cd on that. If its not that deep you might be able to sand it out.
