Default 09 ram has ngk plugs from factory?

yeah i tuned up an 09 ram with 30k today and it had ngk plugs as original equipment. at least this 1 did, we have been working on it since the first oil change. i think it's great if they switched over to ngk it'll save me from having to. what i realized as most unusual is our trucks don't list the spark plug number on the emissions label like every other chrysler product ever made lol. I'm going to have to pull a plug on my own truck to confirm but i just wanted to pass this info over cause i haven't heard anything on here about ngk being a factory plug.

I found that out when looking up my truck at work and my system has NGK's listed as the OEM plug.

NGK's have been factory installed in several engine models for the last few years.

What is involved with replacing these spark plugs on a 2009 5.7? I checked two dealers: one wants $175 and the other wants $210. Seems a little steep, but then again it's doesn't look the the most accessible engine to work on. If anyone has changed their own plugs, I would appreciate any DIY tips. Thanks.

First of all there are 16 plugs. You have to remove the intake and unbolt and remove the 8 coils to get to them. No special tools are required outside of a plug socket and an assortment of extensions. I also recommend using a bit if antiseize on the plug threads.
