You'll get a lot of different opinions on exhaust. It comes down to what you like. Headers will help if you have the money to spend. Check YouTube for some sound clips.

YouTube's definitely got some nice videos of all kinds of exhausts for our trucks. I love my Magnaflow exhaust... Of course, I'm not too sure that it sounds like Hell is coming. It's has a nice mellow rumble at idle, but sounds pretty good under moderate acceleration. Full throttle, she roars pretty good!

I have a set of headers running into true duel. I'm using 40 series flowmasters, one on each pipe and I love the way it sounds when I'm on a full throttle

If you want to sound like the 4 horsemen of the appocalypse are riding down the road behind you, pick up a flowmaster muffler and dump it right after the rear axle...

Well I have to agree with everyone when they say you have to find the right sound for you. I would go on you tube and find trucks with exhausts. I have a Gibson exhaust and I really like it. People know I'm coming and the people at my work know when I am coming since it has a distinctive sound to it, MEAN!!! haha
