I'm new to MOPAR world. Any recommendations for this? 98 2500 ext cab with 5.9L V8, 100k miles in awesome unmolested shape. I'd like to get a nice rumble but nothing obnoxious and hopefully improve performace a little. Thanks.

PS - if you have recommendations on air intake / filter set ups, please let me know!

Think I made up my mind, maybe? Gonna go back with Flowmaster 40 or 10 series. Going to hopefully get those SS shorty headers, stock y-pipe 3" high flow cat, 3" from cat into the muffler and dual 2.5" out. I can't find any pipe kits 3", just 2.5" and under. Everyone that makes a 2.5" says they can't get 3". How much will it differ if I ran the muffler closer to the tips where the spare tire used to be? Which cat should I get, oval or round:

Just ordered my muffler, again, but now they come in 409 stainless!

Just a cat and no muffler?
I got my ss headers and ss 3" I/O high flow cat. I also went out and got 5ft of 3" pipe and a bung that I need to weld. I ordered the ss flowmaster 10 series to run duals but they don't look good with the body lift. The tow hitch hangs lower than the bumper so them my tips are 4"-5" below the mumber looking lonely. Then the front leaf spring mount also hangs lower now and the tips would be 4" away from the body, again looking lonely. So I might put the 10 series up for sale becasue I was thinking of running 3" straight pipe with a 45 out before the rear tire. Just behind my running board and just in front of the rear leaf spring mount there is a 4" wide gap that I can run my tip snug to the body. I would love dual out each side before the tires but it's over the driveshaft, under the gas tank and $$$$. If I had an expander I would do it all myself but a good one is too expensive to use once or twice. I bought the impact one with the bands but you can't heat the pipe because the rubber will melt. Who knows, the only other place I could run them is dual out each side after the tires but more pipe+more money. I figured all I need now is a decent 3"I/4"O ss tip. ?????????????????

The new bung is welded into the 3" and the new SS cat should be welded on by now.

Flowmaster was on backorder so I canceled it.
Just waiting for a nice day to put the headers on. Going to run 3" straight piped for awhile and see how it sounds. If it's no good I will order the Flowmaster again.
Any other exhaust exit opinions?
