I've been contemplating where I could mount mine as well since I'm in a very cold prone area and the last thing I'd want is frozen valves. I like your idea of mounting it by the rad for warmth, another option is near the muffler, they give of quite a bit if heat.

If you keep moisture out, freezing is not much of an issue....that and move to Atlanta, where a freeze is an annual event for 2 days, not a one time event for 6 months!

I've seen they make heated valves now I guess alot of people have the same problem....

I want to do the same thing on my 2010 RCSB 4x4. I want to lower the rear about 1.5" and have the ability to pull a trailer with no sagging. What brand/part number did you use for the rear bags? Was it a simple R&R of the factory springs?

There Airlift Dominator D2500 bags I ordered from suicidedoors I also used there bag plates 2 upper and 4 lower the extra ones for the lower plate where for the top of the factory spring mount so I would have something to bolt the top of the bag mount to and then measured and cut some tubing welded them to the plates and used all thread for the studs after all that yes it was pretty simple to swap the springs the factory springs will almost fall out if you jack the truck up all the way in the back.....
