Default cai's

Hey I'm looking at these two CAI. the S&B one has a cover on it and it hooks up to the hole in the side that the stock intake hooks up too. Is this good or is it better the have the filter fully exposed like the Spectre one. Also, are the chances of me getting water sucked into these any higher than with the stock intake? Thanks.

No more risk of water than with the stocker. I put closed box system on my '99 5.2L that hooked up to the fender and it worked well. No problems with it at all. Getting cooler air from outside the vehicle is better than getting warm or hot air from inside the engine compartment.

S&B makes some good intakes.
