Default My vents wont switch?

my air/heat only blows out of the vents that are pointed at you... It wont blow on the window or the floor... my a/c controls work... as well as defrost... so that isnt the problem... the blower changes speeds... so is there a vent control behind the dash that switches the air flow btwn window, face, and floor?...

You've probably got mode door/actuator problems.

your mode/actuator blend door may be broke or spring inside door that allows it switch through the cycles

Mine works on both, it just switches between the two by itself. Is this prob caused by a vacuum leak?

Randy, wasn't there a recall on this? How would a person be able to verify that?
I might be wrong. I remember one of our other Rams having a recall on this.
Thanks for your help.

Which system are you talking about? The older vacuum operated system or the newer electronic system.

Yours is most likely a vacuum related problem.
