I had friends in HS that had a Chevy 454 running on propane.
Their dad was the manager of the propane seller, so they got extreme reduced cost.

But they had a similar system as described above,, could run on gas or switchover and run on only propane. They had a 20-30 gallon drum right behind the cab.

The nice thing w/ propane was how clean it burned, they're oil changes looked like brand new oil. They would only change like every 6-8k miles.

i have a mate who runs a 454 chevy truck on lpg (propane) its a fairly regular thing here in the uk with high price of our petrol/gas,if doing lots of miles are poor mpg motors
same thing wi switch over button, but i aint going to run any where on petrol while i got lpg at 1/2 price of petrol/gas
i have a 230 liter tank (about 60 us gallons )in the truck bed so its good fer around 500+ miles at 1 fillup

same here, clean oil at oil changes

That deffinitely seems very cost effective to run the propane in the engines!! especially being so cheap haha!

As for running the propane injection, im not to sure how well it would work on a gas engine? i do remember in school for my apprenticeship we had to tune a carburetor using the propane injection method, would double the RPM withouth touching the throttle.... but not sure on running for a power boost!
