Default oil pressure gauge

have an issue with the in dash oil pressure gage not working right and wondering if anyone has an idea on how to fix this.

when on the gas or when the truck is just warming up oil pressure gage seems to be working fine but after a while if rpms are below 1000 it reads that i have no pressure and oil dumy lite comes on have let it idle for a while afterwards and looked inside fill cap while runing and no pressure on gage to find it is geting plenty of oil throughout the engine and no sounds out of it

any ideas as to what the problem might be? thanks!

Chuck, I am not able to help you too much on this but I will ask this, please make sure you have all the details of your truck filled out under your UserCP in your account so that we can get you a more rapid response. Thanks.

well there has been threads here about that but its the oil sending unit replace it and it will fix the problem
just note you need a special socket for the unit to take out dont forget to get one when you pick up the sending unit
mine did the same thing
