Default Tow Haul / OD off

I have a 2007 Ram V-6. I bought it used. About 2 weeks after I got it, I tried the tow haul / OD off button (not sure why I didnt try it before). It did nothing. I called the Dodge dealer I bought it from, after a huge ordeal, they agreed to look at it for me for free. According to the mechanic, it had some wires broken or damaged. The Dodge dealer wanted $190 to correct the problem. I am pretty good at working on things, so I figured it wouldnt be a big deal to do it myself (the mechanic agreed). I finally got some time today to take it apart to look it over. I took the rubber boot off where the shifter meets the steering column only to find 2 wires that look like they have never been hooked to anything (clean, stripped, no tape, no burn marks). My question is, should these wires go somewhere (if so, where). I know the V-6 does not come with alot of towing options, so if the tow haul does not hook up,that is understandable. But, the OD Off buttom should still work. Is there a diagram showing where these wires should hook? Thanks for any and all help in advance.

The wires are both white. I believe I found where they go. There is a small junction box attached to teh brake pedal mount. It has 2 short white wires hanging out that are taped up. My best guess it, the mechanic at the dealership was just going to put 2 new pieces of wire in. He had them stripped back and ready, when I said no. THey just taped them up and shoved it out the door. So, they were going to charge that much money for something that he already had halfway done. Should be an easy fix. Just need to get some wire. I will let you guys know how it goes. Thanks.
