Default Help making a bad@ss truck

Ok guys I just got rid of my Ford truck to buy myself a dodge..... my entire family, father, brothers and cousins drive ford trucks and were quite disappointed when they heard i got a dodge lol.......

anyway we go hunting every year together and I thought it was time to put this truck to the test to show them how it goes, we usually hunt in a Crewcab ford, last year in a 2009 crewcab F150..... and then neighbour brings out his chevy to hunt as we all point and laugh at him......

Sooo here is what I am doing (pictures will come up soon as its done)

2010 Dodge Ram Sport 1500 Crew Cab
4" Superlift kit
Diablo Tuner
Airaid CAI
Magnaflow exhaust
lo rider tonneu cover
Bushwacker Fender Flares
HID and Window Tint

The last step however is Tires and Wheels....... Looking for a good place to buy online or in Edmonton to get some.....
Would like the diameter a little wider than factory to accent the Flares....
I like a blackout Rim with some chrome (eg XD Spy Rims)
20" rim with 35" tires....

any help will be much appreciated..... thanks fellas

Can't help you with the tire/rim selection, but can comment on the family's disappointment. Just wait...their disappointment will escalate. Right after who take them out hunting...they will be so disappointed that they didn't get the first Ram in the family.

Your stock wheels are 20X9 and that's sufficient to a 305, 315 or even a 325 section width tire.

What makes a difference in where the wheels sit and how far out from the fender the tire ends is offset.

Here's a link that explains offset:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=101

It's always good to change to a different offset when you go to a wider section width to avoid rubbing on the inside of your wheel wells when turning.

With a 4" lift you should be able to do 35's easily enough on 20" wheels. Or you can go down a wheel size and get a bit taller sidewall.

To give you an idea of what I am talking about with an offset change and wider tires, here's my truck (I need flares) with a 3" level and 325/60RX18 Cooper Discoverer STT tires wrapped around some Ultra wheels:

Looks like to me you have all the makings of a very nice truck. You should give your family a warning though that being around a truck like yours may induce SEVERE buyer's remorse (especially for your neighbor)

lol yes Im hoping to make a good impression on them as well as myself, so far the truck is great.....

Ohhh how sad to be an oilers fan these days lol.......

we point at laugh at the neighbour because he basically has to slap it into 4x4 to get out of his driveway lol....... thing just cant keep up

madd.... that is the exact offset im looking for.... and very close to the same rims as well...... how does it ride? has your mpg took a decent hit from it too?

thanks for all the help fellas
