when a 8 year REBUILDABLE battery comes out, i'll think about it

I remember before the EPA rules chased battery rebuilders out of california, on many occasions, i would drive to a local shop when my battery giving me problems, jerk out my battery, set it on the bench, the guy would remove the outside casing, dip the cells into acid, clean it up, dip it again, put a continuity tester on it, rinse it again, put it back inside a case, put in new acid, put a quick charge on it, & then i put it back in the vehicle & drove away. that my friends was the real good old days

I myself wouldn't be interested in paying more money for a hybrid in order to save me a little money at the pump only to go and spend it all over again for a new battery.
I'll get a hybrid when they get the kinks out and make it economically sound for me to purchase one.

I rather go with diesel....there are still many unknowns with hybrids.

The DS is up in DC now. I'll peruse it when I get time.

UPDATE: I did some checking of the service info and there is nothing so far related to the hybrid Ram.

It was a dumb idea anyway... They'd be better off putting these r&d dollars into a strictly electric truck. Toyota recently partnered with tesla so Chrysler better get their asses in gear. Electric motors are ideal for trucks with 100% torque at rpm 1. Just gotta figure out the battery range and weight issues. Hybrids are a half assed idea in my opinion.
