Default which head gasket??

Hey guys my 02 Ram is about to have the enitire motor pulled and gone through and i was just wondering if there is a better head gasket than stock that ANY of you might reccomend? Also any inputs on what i can do internally while im in there to help the 1- the longevity of the motor and 2 - more power and torque without killing my fuel economy?

You could always look into aftermarket cams and a tuner. Perhaps some mild port work on the heads?

Headers are a great bang for the buck investment. Gains of 15+ HP from bolting on a set aren't unusual.

I'm not sure who's making them for the 4.7 but I will tell you that headers are one of those things where you get what you pay for. Locking header bolts are also a worthwhile investment.

The brands I used from my racing days were Heddman and Hooker. Both were of excellent quality.
